First Aid & CPR Guatemala
Se você trabalha na área de primeira infância em Guatemala — seja em creche, pré-escola, ambiente familiar ou acampamento — a certificação em primeiros socorros e RCP não é opcional. É uma exigência de licenciamento, e por um bom motivo: crianças estão entre as mais vulneráveis a engasgos, reações alérgicas e lesões. Estar preparado para intervir pode mudar tudo.
O que Guatemala exige
In Guatemala, the Secretaría de Bienestar Social authorization requirements call for daily childcare centres to have a director and teaching staff trained in first aid, along with a first-aid kit and an emergency manual. No numeric ratio or number of hours is specified, but training for those in charge of the children is a condition for obtaining and keeping the operating authorization. In practice, both the director and the teachers must be able to show that training.
Anafilaxia e administração de medicamentos
Guatemala has no specific anaphylaxis or adrenaline framework for childcare centres, and adrenaline is available only as a prescription ampoule, with no auto-injectors marketed in the country. Faced with that gap, real protection depends on how prepared the staff are. It is advisable to train the team to quickly recognise a severe allergic reaction, agree a written plan and authorization with each family, and keep the child's own medication safely stored and clearly labelled.
